Delete your ArbLink account
Last updated · 8 August 2026
ArbLink is operated by ArbLink Ltd. You can delete your account and the data we hold about you, or delete individual records without closing your account. Both are set out below.
Deleting your whole account
Email privacy@arblink.co.uk from the address on your ArbLink account, with Delete my account as the subject. That is all the request needs to say.
We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on it, which is why the request needs to come from your registered address. We respond within one month, and we email you to confirm once the account and its data are gone.
If you no longer have access to that email address, write from any address and tell us the account’s name and email so we can verify it another way.
Deleting some of your data without closing your account
Most records can be removed on their own, from inside the mobile app, without deleting your account:
- Certifications, insurance records, professional memberships, CPD records and toolbox talks, and the documents attached to them.
- Services, rates and equipment on your subcontractor profile.
- Business credentials, accreditations and insurance on a business profile.
- Jobs you posted, and equipment listings you advertised, including their photos.
- Posts, comments and post images.
- Messages, connections and your profile photo.
You can also ask us to erase specific personal data under Article 17 of the UK GDPR. Email privacy@arblink.co.uk saying what you want removed. The same one-month response applies, and your account stays open.
What gets deleted with your account
- Your profile, photo and contact details.
- Your subcontractor account: certifications, insurance records, professional memberships, services, rates, equipment, CPD records and toolbox talks, and the documents you uploaded, as part of your account data.
- Your business account: business profile, team members, business credentials and any equipment listings.
- Jobs you posted, and applications you made to other people’s jobs.
- Your messages, in both directions, and your connections.
- Your posts, comments and likes.
- Ratings and endorsements you wrote, and endorsements other people wrote about you.
- Your notification settings, job alerts and the subscription records we hold.
What we keep, and for how long
- Tip sites you added to the directory stay, with your name removed. They are community reference data about a place, not information about you.
- Security and audit logs — records of sign-ins and account changes, kept for up to 24 months because we are required to and because they protect everyone on the platform. They are not visible to other users.
- Financial records of any payment you made, kept for seven years to meet UK accounting and tax requirements.
Our privacy policy sets out our retention periods in full.
Your subscription is separate
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription you bought in the app. The app stores hold those, not us, so cancel yours before you ask us to delete the account — otherwise the store will keep charging you.
- Google Play — open the Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions, and cancel ArbLink there.
- Apple — on your device, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel ArbLink there.
If you subscribed on the website instead, email us and we will cancel it for you.
This cannot be undone
Deletion removes the account. It is not a deactivation, nothing is held in reserve for a recovery period, and we cannot restore an account once it is gone.
You can register again later with the same email address, but you will be starting from an empty account. If you only want a break, ask us and we will talk you through the alternatives before anything is deleted.
