Built by anarborist.For the trade.
ArbLink is being built by an arborist on a single mission: make the business of tree work less stupid. One person today, more soon. Launching shortly.
manifesto
UK arboriculture is a £1.2bn industry that runs on text messages, dog-eared certificate folders and the same fifty phone numbers passed around a region. Good crews go uncredited. Bad crews go undetected. Yards lose deadlines. Climbers lose work. Recruitment agencies harvest 20% in the middle.
better tools.
Not better hype.
ArbLink was started by a working arborist who'd spent too many winters chasing CS38 renewals across three counties. The idea was blunt: one live feed of UK arb work, every cert in one place, every business accountable, no markup, no middlemen.
It's industry-specific on purpose. A generic jobs board can't tell a CS30 from a CS41, doesn't know what LOLER means, and can't filter by Sentinel card. ArbLink can. ArbLink does. That's the whole point.
No cut of placements. No selling your data. No features that don't matter to a yard manager at six on a Tuesday morning. If it doesn't help you find a climber faster, or get paid for a job sooner, it doesn't get built.
The timeline.
Built in stages. Slowly enough to keep it clean, fast enough to ship.
Why it exists
ArbLink was sketched out after one too many winters spent chasing CS38 renewals and losing good work to recruitment agencies. The idea: one live feed of UK arb work, every cert in one place, no middlemen.
Heads-down.
Credentials hub, postcode and what3words matching, compliance dashboard, equipment marketplace, two-way ratings. Built around the actual shape of the trade — not borrowed from a generic jobs board.
Waitlist open
Public launch ahead. Foundation-customer pricing reserved for waitlist members. Soft-launch first, then full open to UK arboriculture.
What's after the UK
Ireland and Wales-language support on the roadmap. Insurance partner programme. Public API for larger operators once the network is stable.
we stand
Pre-launch.
Honest numbers.
No invented stats. ArbLink hasn't shipped yet. Here's what we're committing to from day one — every line on this page will still be true once the network goes live.
operate
Four principles.
No fluff.
Pinned to the wall. Re-read every Monday. The kind of rules that decide what gets built and what gets thrown out.
The trade comes first
Every product decision starts with a working arborist's day, not a software roadmap. If a feature doesn't make a yard run smoother on a wet Tuesday in February, it doesn't get shipped.
Fair, flat pricing on both sides
One price per side of the trade. £9.99/mo for subcontractors, £19.99/mo for businesses. No tiers, no upsells, no per-hire commissions. If we ever start taking a cut of a day rate, fire us.
Credentials, all in one place
Subcontractors upload their tickets, insurance and LOLER records once — businesses see everything in one place and can check it at a glance. No more chasing PDFs over WhatsApp or digging through email threads the morning of a job.
No middlemen, no markup
We charge a flat fee for the tool. We never take a percentage of placements, day rates or invoices. We don't broker work. We don't resell candidates. We're a piece of software, not a recruitment agency.
team
One name
on the door.
ArbLink is built by one person today. That keeps the product opinionated and the trade in charge of decisions. The team will grow — but never at the expense of the principles above.
